We love using leftover bananas to make cakes. Without an oven in our van, the Omnia oven makes that all possible. In this one I decided to swirl some nutella through it for extra indulgence (not sure our waistlines appreciate it though!)

We always seem to buy bananas, they don’t get eaten and end up looking sad and brown on the side. We wouldn’t want to waste them so using them up in cakes is ideal!

One of my all time favourite comfort foods is a cheese and onion crisp sandwich using white bread. This loaf brings back those memories of this after school snack with the gentle flavours of the cheese and onion.

Tomatillo Salsa
We never imagined making tomatillo salsa would be this easy!
First, you just need to find the tomatillos in the grocery store. At Whole Foods, they are in the refrigerated produce section. Tomatillos are sold in the store in their husks. You can also find them at local farmers markets in the summer.

Make pizza in the van yourself (Non-Omnia-edition)
Since we are two huge pizza fanatics, this was the ultimate criteria for our vanlife. If we can’t make a pizza without an oven or Omnia, then we would be forced to let our dream of vanlife die. But we wanted to travel so badly!
So we sat down, tinkered and finally developed a really cool recipe, which we would like to share with you. And we can now rightly say, especially since we now have an Omnia, that we stick to the pan-pizza method. It is the best pizza you can make in a van!
