I have been using RidgeMonkey pans since 2018 and the one simple recipe I always go back to is an easy local sausage wrapped in puffy pastry. The RidgeMonkey pan is perfect for getting that oven cook effect without having an oven.
The RidgeMonkey pan I use the most is the Connect XL Sandwich Pan. I have always found the smaller size to be too small to do much with so make sure you consider this.
Make sure you treat yourself to a local regional sausage to make the ultimate sausage roll.
RidgeMonkey Sausage Rolls
Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 Sausages Remove the skin
- 1 Puff Pastry Sheet
- 1 Egg Beaten
- 1 tsp Poppy Seeds
Instructions
- Cut the puff pastry sheet to the same width of the sausage leaving enough length to be able to wrap each sausage leaving a seam along the edge
- Remove the skins from the sausages
- Wrap each sausage tightly in pastry and press along the seam with a fork to seal it
- Beat an egg and brush the dough with the egg wash
- Sprinkle with poppy seeds
- Preheat the RidgeMonkey pan and place the sausage rolls in the pan and cook on a low heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side. Keep an eye on the cook as to not burn them
