Established in 1851 by Dickinson & Morris, this historic shop has become a symbol of tradition and quality. It’s the oldest remaining bakery in town that still crafts authentic Melton Mowbray pork pies, made with a rich, rustic hand-raising technique and filled with delicious, seasoned pork.

The shop is not just about pies, though the pork pie takes center stage. After a major refurbishment in 2024, the store doubled its space, preserving key historical features like 17th-century beams and medieval stonework. It now offers a broader range of locally sourced gourmet products such as Stilton cheese, Melton Hunt Cake, chutneys, craft beers, and more. Visitors can explore the Heritage and History section, learning about the origins of the pie and the local food culture.

The newly revamped store also includes a Food to Go area, serving freshly baked pies, sandwiches, pastries, and drinks. There’s also a new café space called The Tasting Room, where visitors can sit down and enjoy their treats while soaking in the town’s rich culinary history.
