Sykeside Camping Park & The Brotherswater Inn

In the heart of the Dovedale Valley, surrounded by Dove Crag, Hart Crag and Fairfield with Brotherswater nearby, Sykeside is an inspiring location for Lake District camping, offering stunning views wherever you pitch. We have an on-site pub serving food every evening and even lunch on Saturdays and Sundays!

We are the perfect spot for walking, whether you fancy a short stroll around Brotherswater or a full day’s hike up High Street, as many footpaths leave right from our doorstep. Our central location makes us ideal for exploring the Lake District and Cumbria, whether it be on foot or by car. Alternatively, for those who wish to relax, why not sample a pint or two of local ale at the Brotherswater Inn whilst enjoying the stunning views of Dove Crag.

For brave campers we are open all year round (with the exception of the Christmas period) in all weathers, so why not join us for a spot of ice-climbing or winter walking, or perhaps just relaxing by the fire in the pub!

We are dog friendly, so anyone with four legs is very welcome in the bunkhouse, on the campsite, in the bar and restaurant and in the shop. We do, however, ask that dogs are kept on a lead and under control as the local sheep and deer are a little more nervous than ourselves.
